Conditions We Treat
Complex trauma often develops after repeated or long-term experiences of relational, emotional, psychological, physical, developmental or sexual trauma and can have an immense impact on our sense of worth, our identity, and how we connect with others, ourselves, and the world.
We go at a slow pace, prioritizing safety and security at every step, and bridging the once fragmented connection between your mind and body.
Depression can impact mood, energy, motivation, relationships, and daily functioning, making it difficult to feel like yourself.
We help clients understand the underlying factors contributing to depression, develop healthy coping strategies, and reconnect with a greater sense of purpose, hope, and well-being. Our goal is to support lasting healing by caring for both the mind and body.
Welcome to parenthood! But why do I feel this way?
Navigating the emotional, physical, and relational changes that can accompany pregnancy, postpartum, and the transition into parenthood can be challenging and destabilizing. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, birth trauma, grief, identity shifts, or feeling overwhelmed by the demands of this new chapter, therapy provides a safe space to process your experiences without judgment.
We're dedicated to helping clients build coping skills, strengthen self-compassion, and navigate the perinatal and postpartum journey with greater confidence, resilience, and emotional well-being.
Anxiety can show up as intense worry, racing thoughts, panic, difficulty relaxing, or feeling constantly overwhelmed, affecting your daily life and relationships. It can be all-consuming and exhausting.
We help clients understand the root causes of their anxiety, develop effective coping strategies, and build confidence in managing life's challenges. Our goal is to help you feel more grounded, resilient, and empowered to live with greater peace and balance.
Early life experiences, past relationships, and unresolved trauma can influence how we trust, communicate, set boundaries, and experience intimacy with others
We support clients in understanding these patterns, strengthening secure relationships, improving communication, and fostering deeper self-awareness. Our goal is to help you build healthier, more fulfilling connections with yourself and the people who matter most..
We support individuals who struggle with low self-esteem, perfectionism, and people-pleasing patterns that can leave them feeling exhausted, disconnected, and unsure of their own needs. These patterns often develop in response to past experiences, relationships, or trauma and can make it difficult to set healthy boundaries, trust yourself, and cultivate self-worth.
We help clients build self-compassion, strengthen their sense of identity, develop healthier boundaries, and create more authentic, balanced relationships. Our goal is to empower you to live in alignment with your values while honoring your own needs with confidence and compassion.
Whether you are grieving the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, a life transition, or another significant loss, therapy provides a safe space to process your emotions at your own pace. Grief can bring feelings of sadness, anger, guilt, numbness, or uncertainty, and there is no "right" way to grieve.
We help clients honor their experiences, develop healthy coping strategies, and find meaning while adjusting to life after loss. Our goal is to support healing with compassion, resilience, and hope while honoring the unique nature of your grief.
We provide affirming, compassionate care for individuals exploring or navigating gender identity, sexual orientation, and LGBTQIA+ experiences. Whether you are questioning your identity, coming out, navigating relationships, coping with minority stress, or seeking a space where you can be fully yourself, therapy offers a supportive and nonjudgmental environment for exploration and growth.
We recognize that culture, race, ethnicity, and lived experiences play an integral role in shaping identity, relationships, and mental health. We provide a supportive, inclusive, culturally responsive space to explore racial identity, experiences of discrimination, intergenerational and cultural influences, belonging, and the emotional impact of systemic oppression and racism.
We help clients process difficult experiences, strengthen self-understanding, build resilience, and reconnect with their values and sense of self. Our goal is to foster healing in an environment where your experiences are honored, your identity is respected, and every part of who you are is welcomed with compassion, dignity, and care.
session vibes
We'll meet for our virtual sessions via a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform (or phone session, if needed). Feel free to have a cozy blanket, coffee or water, or a tasty snack at the ready. Just be sure that you're in private space with limited distractions (no driving, please!), and you'll need to be in New York during our session. I'll check in with you about the happenings since our last session, review any homework from the previous session, and go from there.
You're the driver in this space--we'll go at whatever pace you feel is best for your mind and body.
modalities & approach
Our therapeutic alliance is my top priority. I want to ensure that you feel safe and secure in this space, as it's only then (in my experience) that real, transformation change can happen. I bring my authentic self to this space while attuning to your needs in the present.
I look at the whole self—mind & body—through a trauma-informed perspective, which means I'll explore your present experiences and work with you to identify themes or patterns from the past that may be surfacing, consciously or unconsciously. I integrate humanistic/person-centered, emotion-focused, Gestalt, and cognitive-behavioral techniques and am trained in EMDR (eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy).
